Dennie Heye

Shell International, The Netherlands

Dennie Heye works as global knowledge manager for Shell International B.V., a business of Royal Dutch Shell Plc. In his role, Dennie is responsible for the development and implementation of a knowledge and information management strategy for the HR IT department.

Over the years at Shell he has been involved in building global taxonomies, gathering requirements for a standard global library system, the globalisation of library services and selection of a new global search engine for Shell.

In 2008 he was awarded the Quantum2 InfoStar award and the Information Professional of the Year by SLA Europe. He is the author of articles on different information management topics as well as a book: "Characteristics of the Successful 21st Century Information Professional" (2006).
