Thorkild Sørensen

Starting in his undergraduate days, Thorkild Sørensen participated in starting the successful university spin-off company Crystal Fibre A/S, during the process of which he authored and co-authored more than 30 scientific publications, among them two patented inventions within the field of fibre optics. He holds an MSc in engineering and a PhD in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Currently, he is a senior examiner with the Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) with responsibility for the organisation of the search resources available for the examiners, while at the same time playing a key role in quoting and communicating the commercial services offered by the DKPTO within the framework of the PCT authority of the Nordic Patent Institute.
