Achim Zielesny

Prof Dr Achim Zielesny holds a PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Cologne, Germany. Between 1994 and 2001, Achim worked for Bayer AG, Leverkusen as project and group manager in the central research, the computer science, and the human resources management divisions. Since 2001, Achim is Professor of Chemistry, Chemoinformatics, and Bioinformatics at the University of Applied Sciences, Gelsenkirchen, Section Recklinghausen, Germany.

In 2004 Achim founded a company for scientific computing solutions in Oer-Erkenschwick, Germany (www.gnwi.de). He is a board member of the Institute for Bio- and Chemoinformatics at the University of Applied Sciences Gelsenkirchen, Section Recklinghausen(www.ibci.fh-gelsenkirchen.de), and since 2005 a board member of the section Chemistry-Information-Computer (CIC) of the German Chemical Society.
