Brian Bartell

Brian Bartell is the Chief Technology Office and a co-founder of Notiora, Inc, a software company specialising in text analytics solutions, and the creators of the Text Analytics and ChemMining Collections for Pipeline Pilot. Brian received his PhD from UC San Diego, where he focused on applications of learning algorithms and neural network technology applied to search engines and text analytics. Brian has been an engineering and technology executive at companies leveraging text and search technology, including Covario Inc and Change.com. Previously, Brian has held research positions in the Advanced Technology Group of Verity, Inc, a leading provider of text search engines, and in the Advanced Technology Group of Encyclopaedia Britannica, where he helped create the first internet encyclopedia, Britannica Online.
