Bruce E Wilson

Dr Bruce Wilson is currently a Technical Leader in the Research Computing group at The Dow Chemical Company, where he has been since February, 2001. At Dow, his work involves leading the deployment and development of informatics systems to support high throughput research in catalysis and material science. He is also the Technical Leader for the Application Development group within Research Computing. Prior to working for Dow, he worked for a year in the Process Analysis Expertise Center at Dow Corning Corporation for 12 years at Eastman Chemical Company. His work at Eastman covered a wide range of subjects, including computational chemistry, chemical and proprietary information management, synthetic polymer chemistry, polymer formulations, and process analyzers.

Bruce has a bachelors degree from Michigan State University, with a dual major in Chemistry and Mathematics. He earned his doctorate in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Washington, under the direction of Professor Bruce Kowalski. He currently lives in Midland, Michigan. He and Elizabeth have been married for 20 years and they have two children, with one in high school and one in college.
