Bruno van Pottelsberghe

Bruno van Pottelsberghe is Professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Solvay Business School. As holder of the Solvay S.A. Chair of Innovation he teaches courses related to the economics and management of innovation and intellectual property. For his research activities, he is affiliated to ECARES (ULB), CEPR London, CEB and DULBEA). He recently joined Bruegel, a Brussels based think-tank, as senior research fellow. His research interests focus on S&T policies, patent policies, regulations and innovation. His recent book, jointly authored with Dominique Guellec, has been published by Oxford University Press: "The Economics of the European Patent System". Bruno was Chief Economist of the European Patent Office (EPO) from November 2005 to the end of 2007 and is now Advisor to the President and Rector of the ULB for technology transfer issues.
