Lakshmi Tulasi Gandikota

Tulasi is Head of Patent Analysis at Shell Technology Center, Bangalore since May 2012. In this role, she is responsible for managing the delivery of patent (landscape) analysis services to IP, technology and business teams in Shell globally through a team of patent analysts located in Bangalore.  Prior to this, she was part of the same team for more than 4 years.

  In addition to providing patent analysis support,  Tulasi & team engage with staff at Shell Technology Center, Bangalore to promote IP awareness and to seek ways of using patent information as an aid in solving technical problems and  to improve understanding of the state of the art in a given technology area. 

Before joining Shell in 2007, Tulasi worked at GE John F Welch Technology Center for six and half years of which about two years as patent analyst at GE Global Research and over four years as Chemical Engineer in GE Plastics.

Tulasi has done Masters and PhD from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore after getting her Bachelor’s degree from SVU College of Engineering, Tirupati all in Chemical Engineering. She has a PG diploma in IP law from NLSIU, Bangalore.  She is a member of several professional organizations and published in peer reviewed journals and company internal reports.
