Jacques Guyot

Jacques Guyot is an engineer in electronics and nuclear engineering, pursuing a master's degree computer science and finally obtaining a doctorate in science in the field of data bases. He co-founded several companies, one in the field of expert systems applied to finance. For several years, he is responsible for a finance IT department in the industry. In parallel, he taught databases and the design of man-machine interfaces at the University of Geneva where he also collaborates in research. For the past 15 years, he has applied computer technologies to language processing in the fields of automatic document classification, translation assistance and knowledge representation. Recently, he co-created Olanto, a non-profit foundation to develop and distribute free software.
