Alexander Lehmann

Alex Lehmann is a data scientist at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. In this role, he utilizes cutting-edge methodologies from statistics and machine learning to drive innovation in CIPO products and services. Prior to joining CIPO, he was part of the Modern Statistical Methods and Data Science branch at Statistics Canada. In addition to his role in the public service, Mr. Lehmann is a statistics researcher at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. His research includes such topics as natural language processing, resampling, and complex networks. His work emphasizes interpretable and explainable methodologies and the democratization of data science. Mr. Lehmann holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from Carleton University.
