David Walsh

David Walsh has a been involved with Chemical and Bioinformatics information primarily within the Pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years. Looking back at his aspirations, and motivations to pursue acareer in Information Science, it was a good choice, but not always a predictable pathway. Working for major and minor pharmaceutical and biotech companies, (Pfizer, Merck, GlaxoWellcome), publishers (Royal Society of Chemistry) and database producers (CAS, STN), David is now a producer of a patent current awareness database using Semantic Mediawiki. His Company, Grail Entropix, is so called because it is influenced by the 2nd law of thermodynamics; Order can only be achieved from chaos by the application of energy, and hard work!
